  5.      Due to numerous bug reports (one, to be precise - thanks Mick) 
  6.      here  is  the  newest  version  of  QuickStart.   You'll   see 
  7.      tremendous improvements in the terminal. In fact, I'm thinking 
  8.      about releasing the terminal part of QuickStart as a  seperate 
  9.      shareware package.  I know it's not a complete  communications 
  10.      program,  but  at least it has a pretty good Ansi and  Zmodem.

  13.      I'm not sure exactly when I implemented these changes, I might 
  14.      list  something  here which was already present  in  the  last 
  15.      version,  and  many  many bugs were cured so long ago  that  I 
  16.      don't even remember them. But anyway, here we go...

  18.      ¯ High  speed modems are now supported.  In QConfig v1.21  you 
  19.        can define response strings for:
  20.  
  21.        ¯¯ 2400 bps normal,
  22.        ¯¯ 2400 bps HST/MNP (locked),
  23.        ¯¯ 4800 bps normal,
  24.        ¯¯ 4800 bps HST/MNP (locked),
  25.        ¯¯ 9600 bps normal,
  26.        ¯¯ 9600 bps HST/MNP (locked).

  28.        With the 'Locked BaudRate' option you define what speed  the 
  29.        modem should be locked at for HST and MNP  connections.  For 
  30.        an HST modem you would have something like:

  32.           2400 bps normal:    CONNECT 2400
  33.           2400 bps HST/MNP:   CONNECT 2400/ARQ
  34.  
  35.        and  likewise for 4800 and 9600 speeds.  Then you'd set  the 
  36.        'Locked BaudRate' option to 19200,  and tell your modem  not 
  37.        to  lock  or to buffer if no ARQ connection  is  established 
  38.        (this way you'll still have hotkeys).

  40.        If you don't use a high speed modem,  put something in these 
  41.        strings which will not occur in the usual responses.

  43.        The  QuickStart overlay uses errorlevels 25,  49 and 97  for 
  44.        HST/MNP modes.

  46.      ¯ As in Quick itself,  Ansi speed has tripled.  The QuickStart 
  47.        terminal  now  supports bold and underlined fonts  when  the 
  48.        PC font   is   used!    Cursor   key   emulation    improved 
  49.        (keypad/application mode escape is supported).

  51.      ¯ Buffering bug with Zmodem and an HST modem removed, improved 
  52.        Zmodem efficiency a bit.  Small AutoDL bug fixed. High-speed 
  53.        disk space checker added.
  54.  
  55.      ¯ Alt-P  in the terminal sets the current Send/Receive  paths. 
  56.        These can also be changed in QConfig.
  57.  
  58.      ¯ Dialer  debugged  & expanded.  Also supports  the  new  high 
  59.        speeds. Remembers last position.
  60.  
  61.      ¯ The terminal status bar now contains a timer which resets  & 
  62.        starts  running when a dial attempt is succesfull,  or  when 
  63.        you press Alt-T.
  64.  
  65.      ¯ Alt-V View in the terminal improved.  Now waits for a return 
  66.        with  ^A codes,  supports [S] Stop and [P]  Pause,  like  in 
  67.        Quick, as well [Esc] and the standard ^S and ^Q.

  69.      I'd  like to know whether anyone actually _uses_ the  terminal 
  70.      mode.  If  few  people do,  I won't spend much time on  it  in 
  71.      future.  Please  drop me a message at the support board or  in
